#17 – My week in illustrations

This weeks illustration is about the autumn again. Here in the Netherlands we have had an Indian summer the last few days. It was sunny and up to 24 degrees, which is really warm for October. So I tried to be outside as much as possible, to enjoy all those pretty autumn colours. I love it when the leaves start changing colour and fall from the sky like confetti. And I confess: I love to kick around the leaves, especially when there is a whole pile of them :) I was dreaming about a very small house, surrounded by trees, so I drew it.

I used ecoline for this illustration, which is liquid watercolour paint, which comes in really bright colours. I love it because of its fluidity. And I am still trying out new materials. I liked to combine the vivid colours of the ecoline with a pen drawing, in black & white. I like the contrast and the way it stands out against the background. My perfect outdoor tiny house would something like this:
