#15 – My week in illustrations

Last week I felt really ready for Autumn. I was so happy to get my fluffy scarfs out, put thicker thighs on who hug your legs and make liters of tea. So this weeks illustrations is an ode to all those autumn essentials. When it is rainy and cold, I love to be on the sofa with a good book, a blanket (or two) and a lot of tea. When it is stormy outside I love to be outside, walking in the wind and kicking up the leaves that have fallen. Afterwards I love eating a cup of homemade pumpkin soup, pumpkin risotto or a curry with pumpkin… or basically anything with pumpkin :) Walking under an umbrella when it rains…wearing comfy sweaters, for me those are little moments of joy in the autumn.

This illustration is made with watercolour again. I am getting the hang of drawing with water colour I think, especially if I draw my subjects with pencil first and the colour them in. I still have to practice my patience though :) I had a lot of fun designing these special letters with leaves and mushrooms. In this way hand lettering becomes fun for me, the puzzle between still being able to read the letters on the one side and a nice design on the other side it something I really like. I hope you are enjoying autumn too!
